The new and simple process of signing up for a service project is as follows:

1)    Go to MedfieldGirlScouts.org and view up-to-date lists of local and Greater Boston service projects and other service info pages. The Service Unit requests troops consider the local service projects first, Greater Boston projects second. Especially if planning only one project.

2)   To sign up for a project Compelete this form and it will be email to me. Give 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices, troop
number, GS level, and AVG contact info.

Troop Number:

GS Level:

AVG Contact:

AVG Email Address:

AVG Telephone #:

1st Choice :

2nd Choice :

3rd Choice :

3)   To avoid duplication and confusion on the part of the service organizations, please wait for an email confirmation from the GS Service Coordinator that your project is available.

4)   After confirmation is received, contact the organization for your service project directly to work out details, deadlines and confirm your troop will be assisting them.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts requires that each troop do a minimum of one service project each year. The Medfield Service Unit requests that each of our troops do a minimum of two projects each year. Please find room in your busy troop calendars to make service a priority.

I’m more than happy to field questions or make suggestions for your troop. Feel free to call or email to run an idea by me or find out more about a particular project, after 12 years I’ve tried most of them…

Thank you for your efforts and happy volunteering!  Chris Komine
